The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to bookings and stays as well as all other services and deliveries provided for the customer, such as restaurant and seminar services at Hotel Eiger Mürren AG.

Contracting parties and conclusion of contract
The contracting parties are Hotel Eiger Mürren AG, Aegerten 1079c, 3825 Mürren (hereinafter referred to as the "Hotel") and the person (hereinafter referred to as the "Guest") who books a room or services at the Hotel. The Hotel is entitled to amend, supplement and/or otherwise modify these Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice.
The terms and conditions stated herein shall apply to all legal relationships between the Hotel and the Guest. The contract between the guest and the hotel is concluded upon acceptance of a booking in writing (including e-mail messages), on the telephone or via an electronic or personal booking and upon receipt of confirmation of said booking. By making the reservation, the guest accepts this and agrees that their reservation, if accepted by the hotel, will be maintained in accordance with the following terms and conditions.

Services and prices
The hotel shall hold the room(s) reserved by the guest ready and provide the agreed services. No guarantee is given for availability outside the specified dates. The hotel is also entitled to adjust its prices if the guest subsequently requests changes in the number of rooms booked, the hotel services or the length of stay and the hotel should agree to these changes. The hotel may, at its sole discretion, cancel a reservation if the hotel believes that the reservation details provided are falsified or incomplete.
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) per room and include the services indicated on the confirmation and on the website, including VAT. The local tourist tax and visitor's tax are not included in the price and these will be added to the guest's bill at the time of check-out. Only as many guests as stated in the booking are allowed to use the room and other guest facilities (including children).
For additional persons the following rates apply, including breakfast:

• Children up to 2 years old: free of charge.
• Children up to 15.9 years: between 45.00 and 85.00 CHF (depending on season)
• Children and adults from 16 years: between 65.00 and 110.00 CHF (seasonal)

Check-in and check-out
Rooms on the day of arrival are ready for occupancy from 14.00 hrs. Check-out is at 11.00 a.m.

Liability:
The rooms of the hotel are to be used and treated with the utmost care. The guest is liable for possible damages, unless the customer proves that the damage occurred through no fault of the guest. Damage must be reported to the hotel immediately.
The hotel is not liable for any loss, theft or damage to guests' personal belongings and the hotel is not liable for any accident, injury or damage occurring during the stay.

Changes or cancellations
Changes or cancellations must be made in writing or by the same means as the reservation. Decisive for the timeliness of the change is the arrival of the notification at our hotel. The cancellation is only valid if confirmed by the hotel. A valid credit card must be provided for each reservation. This credit card may be charged for changes or cancellations or for advance payments.
In principle, the following applies for changes or cancellations of the reservation depending on the booked price:

Non-refundable bookings and early booking rates (Non-refundable rate):
No cancellations or changes are possible after the booking has been completed. The total price of the stay is due at the time of booking and will normally be charged to the credit card indicated. In case of a no-show the same applies, no refund is possible.

Flexible rates
Free changes and cancellations are possible for flexible rates up to a certain time before the day of arrival. This deadline is communicated to the guest at the time of a booking or booking confirmation and varies depending on the season.

In case of cancellation or change of booking, the following conditions apply:

• Up to 14 days prior to arrival: Free of charge
• In case of cancellation within 14 days or in case of no-show: 100% of the original price.

For bookings which include Christmas and/or New Year's Eve (25th or/and 31st December):

• Up to 42 days before arrival: Free of charge
• Cancellation within 42 days or no-show: 100% of the original price.

During the Inferno race week in winter which usually takes place in January as well as for high season time in February usually between 10th and 28th February:

• Up to 30 days before arrival: Free of charge
• Cancellation within 30 days or no-show: 100% of original price

Bookings of 4 or more rooms are considered group reservations, for which the following cancellation conditions apply:

• Up to 8 weeks before arrival: Free of charge
• Cancellation or change within 8-4 weeks prior to arrival: 50% of original price
• Cancellation or change within 4-2 weeks prior to arrival: 80% of original price
• Cancellation or change within 14 days: 100% of the original price
• For group reservations we require a deposit of 50% at least 8 weeks before arrival. The amount will be charged to the credit card on file.

Pets:
Pets are only allowed by prior arrangement and for a fee. Pets are only partially allowed in public areas and must be kept under supervision at all times.

Non-smoking hotel:
Smoking is not permitted in all rooms and on all balconies as well as in all publicly accessible areas such as our lounge, conservatory and restaurants. Only inside the hotel in the Tächi Bar is there a closed fumoir where smoking is permitted. Smoking is permitted on the terrace in front of the hotel. We ask you to be considerate of other guests. Non-compliance with the smoking ban in the rooms and on the balconies may lead to additional costs for the guest due to additional cleaning costs and the fact that the room cannot be rented out immediately.

Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law is exclusively applicable to all contracts concluded with Hotel Eiger Mürren AG under these conditions. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes is Lauterbrunnen.
